Geoff is a senior accountant who joined the firm in 2016. By all accounts, becoming a member of the JAK team was his destiny: his brother Matt has worked at JAK for more than a decade, and their childhood neighbor was a JAK partner. Plus, Geoff has always admired JAK’s not-too-small, not-too-large size.
Previously, Geoff served as treasurer and CFO of a small accounting firm, which gave him a great deal of hands-on, real-world experience. This, combined with his penchant for numbers and puzzles, makes him a solid advisor who can easily move between a large- and small-picture perspective.
At JAK, Geoff is committed to being there for his clients, whether it’s helping to win an IRS case or promptly returning a phone call. He is constantly thinking up ways to help his clients save money or run their business more efficiently. Gregarious yet straightforward, he explains complex accounting issues in a way that’s easy for others to understand.
Geoff keeps busy at home, too—he’s not the type to lounge on the couch. He loves spending time with his wife and two children; the family cherishes park visits and playtime in their yard. Raised in the Twin Cities, he is a true Minnesota outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, fishing, and golf. He also serves as treasurer of his church.
